HOW DOES EPR WORK

The Emergency Phone Response service works through a monitor attached to your home phone system. In the event of an emergency, you just press your emergency button or pendant and your personal details are automatically displayed on a computer screen at the 24 hour 7 days a week response centre and immediately answered by a professionally trained Emergency Response Responder. The staff at the Response Centre are fully trained in Senior First Aid and Advanced Resuscitation techniques and are equipped to initiate the assistance that you require. If a doctor or ambulance is needed, this will be arranged or if contact with a relative or other person is required this can also be taken care of. No struggling for the phone or dialling is necessary. Just talk in your normal voice and the operator will hear you clearly. How far away will it work? You’ll be amazed at how far away you can be from the base alarm unit and your pendant will work. The pendant has a range of up to 50 metres*, so (provided you stay within that range) you can move around your home freely and even out to the garden, your mail box or clothes line without a worry. It’s a good idea to wear your pendant at all times. It’s very durable and it’s water resistant too, so you can even wear it in the shower or bath! *dependent upon building materials Another point we want to make is that, the Emergency Phone Response system is monitored around the clock and its use is included in your fee. Although our system is called Emergency Phone Response system it doesn’t have to be an Emergency to use it. If for any reason you feel unsafe for example, you can ring for reassurance……if your wheelchair became entangled in your phone cord there is some one to help you as long as you push your ALARM BUTTON
